The 2nd Annual Longhorn Lights launched yesterday

The 2nd Annual Longhorn Lights launched yesterday at UT, and it was a really great time!

We were able to tour the D. K. Royal Stadium, even walking on the field. Then we had a rooftop reception until the festivities started, with an awesome Mariachi band kicking things off.

The band played, and UT’s president, Jay Hartzell, welcomed the crowd before introducing some of the Longhorn football players: Quinn Ewers, Hayden Conner, Jake Majors, and Jahdae Barron. Lastly, we counted down the lights being switched on, and they were beautiful!

You can catch the Longhorn Lights now until Jan. 1, 5pm-10pm daily by driving down The Drag. Thanks for the invite UT!

I had the honor of celebrating the 10th anniversar

I had the honor of celebrating the 10th anniversary of @ironrootrepublic in Denison, TX, with my best friend, and it was AH-MAZING!

We were able to meet the owners and staff, try several different offerings from the distillery and meet fellow whiskey enthusiasts. Ironroot was formed in 2014 by the Likarish family including Marcia, her husband John, and their sons Robert and Jonathan.

In 2024, Ironroot Republic Hubris was voted Best Corn Whiskey at the World Whiskies Awards. If you haven’t tried any of their vast variety of spirits, I highly recommend it! My favorite was the Sleight of Hand bourbon followed by Promethean straight Texas bourbon.
